Some people can experience severe allergic reactions like skin rashes, breathing difficulties, tongue swelling, face swelling, lips swelling, panic, irritability, aggressive behavior, nervousness, impulsiveness, skin problems, suicidal thoughts, fever-like symptoms, sudden mood changes and deep depression. Frequent thoughts about death can also occur, so as suicidal attempts, insomnia, violent behavior and mania. Serotonin syndrome is one of the Remeron side effects that can be very dangerous. In some cases, this condition can cause severe consequences. Spasms of muscles, irritability, body temperature higher than normal, heart rate changes and high blood pressure are all possible Remeron side effects.
Who Should Not Use Remeron?
There are several groups of patients who should not take this drug. Some medical problems can contribute to Remeron side effects. If you have kidney disorder, liver disorder, seizures and mania history, you should not take this drug. If you have heart problems or problems with dizziness and/or fainting, you should not take Remeron. Pregnant women should not take this drug. Remeron can harm the fetus, so it is strongly recommended not to take it if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy. Breastfeeding women should also avoid using this medication since it is transmitted to the baby through the mother’s milk. Since Remeron can affect your judgment, do not make any important decisions during the Remeron therapy. You should also avoid operating machines and drive. Any work that requires quick reaction should be avoided. If you use Remeron, do not take it with alcohol. Do not take other drugs for treating depression, anxiety and insomnia. If you use any of these drugs with Remeron, it can interact with those drugs and make serious problems.
