Less common side effects of Amlodipine are hypotension (low blood pressure), chest pain, tachycardia, postural dizziness, syncope, arrhythmia, postural hypotension, peripheral ischemia, vasculitis and bradycardia.
Other less common side effects of Amlodipine include asthenia, rigors, malaise, back pain, mouth dryness, thirst, increased sweating, hyperglycemia, weight loss and weight gain.
There are Amlodipine side effects related to the central & peripheral nervous system: paresthesia, hypoesthesia, vertigo, neuropathy peripheral and tremor.
Amlodipine side effects that are related to the musculosceletal system are arthrosis, muscle cramps, arthralgia and myalgia.
Amlodipine can affect the gastrointestinal system, causing dyspepsia, flatulence, diarrhea, dysphagia, anorexia, pancreatitis, constipation, gingival hyperplasia and vomiting.
This medication can also cause psychiatric problems like nervousness, insomnia, nightmares, anxiety, depression and depersonalization.
Skin problems are also possible with Amlodipine: skin rash, erythema multiforme, angioedema, rash maculopapular, rash erythematous etc.
Abnormal vision, eye pain, diplopia, and tinnitus were also reported.
When it comes to the urinary system, Amlodipine side effects include nocturia, micturition disorder and micturition frequency.
Rare Side Effects of Amlodipine
Rare side effects of Amlodipine include skin dryness, cardiac failure, skin discoloration, pulse irregularity, rhinitis, increased appetite, loose stools, amnesia, muscle weakness, alopecia, polyuria, clammy skin, extrasystoles, twitching, apathy, dysuria, dermatitis, agitation, urticaria, hypertonia, abnormal visual accommodation, migraines, and difficulties with taste, cough, exophthalmia and gastritis.
